We had our English composition test today.
Mr. Victal picked ten titles..one of which was "The Use Which Man Has Made of the Forces of Nature".
Captain had memorized a composition from a composition book. He thought Mr. Victal would let us pick our own titles. But it turned out just the opposite. He ended up having to write down the one he had prepared.
We got a letter from China. Since my dad has agreed to buy fertilizer for the Chinese government, they have gone a step further and asked for $20,000 US.
We've had an invasion of cockroaches.
The town has quieted down since the festivities Saturday
